The reason I use an open G chord for this is that I just prefer the sound. Be sure to deaden the A string when playing the G chord this way. You can use a barre chord instead if you prefer. None of these chords use a third so they're niether major or minor but the progression is still in the key of G Minor.
Audio example:
Repeat this chord progression twice
Gm D# A# F
||-----------|----------|----------|-------||
||o----------|----------|----------|------o||
||--0--------|----------|----------|-------||
||--0--------|-8--------|----------|-------||
||o-x--------|-6--------|-8--------|-3----o||
||--3--------|----------|-6--------|-1-----||
The Scorpions change the progression here. Sometimes they play the progression straight forward, just the basic chords.
Audio example:
G C D G |----------|----------|----------|--------------| |----------|----------|----------|--------------| |-0--------|----------|----------|--------------| |-0--------|-5--------|-7--------|--------------| |-x--------|-3--------|-5--------|-5----(5)---5-| |-3--------|----------|----------|-3----(3)-----|
Sometimes they play with a bit more as in this example.
Audio example:
G F G C D C E G F |-------------|----------|-------------|--------------| |-------------|----------|-------------|--------------| |-------------|----------|-------------|--------------| |-------------|-5--------|-7-\5-7------|-12-10--------| |-5-\3-5------|-3--------|-5-\3-5------|-10--8------5-| |-3-\1-3------|----------|-------------|--------------|
It usually ends like this.
Audio example:
D# F |-------------|---------------|--------------|-------| |-------------|---------------|--------------|-------| |-------------|---------------|--------------|-------| |-8-----------|---------------|-10-----------|-10----| |-6---5-6---5-|-6-5-6-5-6---7-|--8---7-8---7-|--8----| |-------------|---------------|--------------|-------|
