- The C major scale is a 7 note scale with no sharps or flats.
- On a piano keyboard the C major scale it is simply the white keys
- The sound of the basic major scale are that of the familiar Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Ti, Do
- The notes of the C major scale are as follows: (C, D, E, F, G, A, B, and the octave C)
- The sound of the major scale (or any other musical scale) is based on a sequence of musical intervals*

- half step - C
*An interval is the distance between two notes counted from the lower to the higher note.
*An octave any note that is twice the frequency of another note is one octave higher.
