Scale modes are lie a scale within a scale
Each scale mode starts with one of the seven notes from the C major scale
There are seven scale modes
Starting the major scale from a different note changes the sequence of musical intervals and therefore, the sound of the scale.
The modes are (in order of appearance)
C - Ionian
D - Dorian
E - Phrygian
F - Lydian
G - Mixolydian
A - Aeolian
B - Locrian
